The Association of South African Women in Science and Engineering (SAWISE) Angus Scholarship 2021-2022

The Association of South African Women in Science and Engineering Scholarship is open for female students entering their 4th year of study in an undergraduate degree program in science and engineering. 

The scholarship gives R15,000 to successful applicants.

About South African Women in Science and Engineering (SAWISE)

South African Women in Science and Engineering is an association that is known for its effort to build and strengthen women that desire to pursue a career in the field of science and engineering in South Africa.

The South African Women in Science and Engineering (SAWISE) works to increase the academic profile of women, improve their roles and contribution in the development of the science and engineering sector as well as making them role models in Africa and the world at large.

Requirements for The South African Women in Science and Engineering (SAWISE) Angus Scholarship

  • A sub-Saharan black female.
  • Must have achieved 70% or above grade average in her subject of study.
  • Only for studies at Honours level (or 4th year equivalent e.g. in engineering).
  • In any field of science and engineering.
  • Curriculum vitae.
  •  An official academic transcript (record).
  •  A letter of motivation (~350 words).
  •  A certified copy of your ID.
  •  A completed online application form.
